PSI President presents PSI Special Award at the BT Young Scientist and Technology Exhibition

The PSI President, Dr Paul D'Alton, was on hand at the 51st BT Young Scientist and Technology Exhibition to present the PSI Special Award at the RDS on Friday 9th of January 2015.

This is the third year the PSI has sponsored an award. Projects in the Social and Behavioural Science category were considered for the PSI Special Award, with the psychological content of projects being taken into account.

The PSI Special Award was presented to Emily Cahill, a fourth year stuent from the PResentation Secondary School Millton, Co. Kerry, for her project entitled. Emily is pictured below receiving her PSI Special Award from Dr Paul D'Alton.

This was the second time tht the PSI also took an exhibition stand at the BT Young Scientist Expo. The stand was manned by PSI staff and PSI members who volunteered their time over the three days. Exhibition delegates engaged in a variety of psychology experiments with the chance of winning prizes, as well as debating a range of psychology issues with PSI volunteers.
