The Day in the Life are a series of seminars designed to provide senior undergraduate and recently graduated psychology students the opportunity to gain insight into the various fields of psychology.
The Day in the Life of an Organisational Psychologist aims to provide an insight into the role of an Organisational Psychologist including the day-to-day tasks that this career entails, the training required, best/worst aspects of the job and challenging aspects of the job.
Professional Speaker: Peter Clarke
Biography: Peter Clarke
Following a full career in industry, which encompassed the spectrum from Craftsman to Marketing Director, Peter Clarke returned to university and graduated with a Masters in Organisational Psychology. He became a consultant and director with Cadwell Consulting and Training Limited until 2005. During this time Peter delivered significant strategic change projects to a variety of clients for 15 years in areas of HR, Marketing and Sales, Production and Administration. He supported a variety of team types and structures established to run projects and deliver high performance business organisations. Peter also made a difference to managers at all levels from supervisor to CEO through an Executive Development Coaching Programme in both the government and NGO sectors. He set up his own consulting business in 2005.
Danielle Montgomery joined the President’s Office at Dublin City University in 2005. As Assistant to the Deputy President, Danielle manages the day-to-day schedule and workload of the Deputy President as well as having a number of key responsibilities on the administration and operations side of the office.
Danielle is a past pupil of Mount Temple Comprehensive. She has enjoyed a wide and varied career to date in a multitude of business settings including; publishing, social and voluntary organisations, public sector, legal, education, and training and private banking.
Danielle holds a BA (Hons) in Psychology and Sociology which she obtained from Oscail via Distance Learning and is now in her final semester of the two year, part-time MSc in Organisational Psychology at DCU Business School.
