Summary of "The Latest Trends in Personality Assessments: How Personality Informs Our Understanding of Leadership, Entrepreneurship, and Potential" by Professor Peter Saville in Dublin and Belfast
The DOP Northern Ireland and The Psychological Society of Ireland working in partnership with Saville Consulting were pleased to present two free Wave Transfer Training Courses (one in Belfast and one in Dublin) and a special evening discussion and presentation event earlier this month. The events were facilitated by Professor Peter Saville, Hazel Stevenson, Sophie Pestell from Saville Consulting and their Ireland business partner Dermot Rush. These events were highly successful and educational and were very well attended by members of both the DOP-NI and PSI.
Over forty attendees from a variety of backgrounds including HR, business consulting, executive MBAs and psychology, enjoyed an evening talk in Dublin, where Professor Saville gave an inside out view of the links between personality, leadership and effective work place performance.
The Transfer Training earned participants PSI CPD points and enabled these current Level B users to qualify on the Saville Consulting Wave questionnaires. Wave, the leading edge personality questionnaires,  enhance understanding of talent assessment and development and provide significant information about individuals and teams in relation to style, talent and motive, competencies and culture as well as  performance and potential. This was a fantastic opportunity for DOP-NI and PSI members to be trained in these modern tools, attendees commented:
“Thank you for taking the time and being so giving with your time and resources - A truly ethical organisation.”  Yvonne Cooke, Police Service NI
“It was a great course, all useful and relevant, thank you! ”  Aine Gray Public Appointment Service
“A very useful tool,... impressive!” Eimear Barry, LDC Training

“An excellent course with great materials - A good mix of theory/background and practical application. “ Rachel Lindsay Criminal Justice Inspection NI
The DOP-NI and PSI would like to thank Peter, Hazel and Sophie for their enthusiastic and knowledgeable delivery, the respective DOP-NI and PSI members who helped organise these events and the PSI offices and the Ulster Business School for providing the accommodation. Well done to all the participants who successfully completed the courses. An excellent development opportunity and great added value support from the psychology profession.
